With a Google voice account, you’ll have a number for all your phones, a particular phone number that is tied to you and not to a device or location. This means you’ll have one global number regardless of your country with which you can send text, make and pick up calls on any device (phone, tablet or computer). Just like Email, Gmail is for text while Google voice is for Voice.
