Today, instagram announced its success as they it user base exceeds 600 million people and counting more on Instagram users base.
The company took to their instagram blog to make this announcent on 15th December 2016, where they thanked their users for being part of the dream. This number is nearly twice the population of the United States posting food pictures and skyline shots at least once a month, for some context.

Although with the 600 Million users, Instagram is a small meat when compared to Facebook, the behemoth social networking platform that it’s owned by. Facebook Inc which claimed to have 1.18 billion daily active users all over the world as of September.
